1.) How does payment work?

We usually accept a deposit for projected amount for job materials, up to 50% of the labor when we meet to set up the project, or on the first day we arrived at your home to commence work. The percentage of labor deposit depends on the size and scope of the project. We will have your final bill ready for you on the last day of the project so that we can send/communicate this information to you. We will collect the final payment prior to our departure.

2.) What type of painting and remodeling projects do you perform?

Remodeling projects delivered include:

  • Miscellaneous carpentry and handyman projects,
  • Floor installation and refinishing, crown molding,
    insulation, cabinet installation,
  • Full and partial bathroom, kitchen remodels,
  • Full and partial basement remodels, deck construction,
  • Additions.


      Painting projects delivered include:

  • Cathedral Ceilings,
  • Popcorn ceilings,
  • Decks and Aluminum Siding,
  • Wallpaper stripping,
  • Cedar staining,
  • Custom Painting.

3.) What are your hours of operation? Do you work weekends?

For the most part, we are 8am to 5pm. However, sometimes we may adjust the schedule slightly, but only after your approval. There is some work conducted on weekends, and we will always ask for your approval if that is an acceptable option for you and your family. Under circumstances where there are specific deadlines to be met we may ask if working both weekend days is a possibility. But again, we will always honor your preference.

4.) Do you supply the paint or should we purchase it?

Our preference is to use Sherwin-Williams paint products. We frequent the store daily and therefore, can save you time by picking it up for you. Occasionally, home owners have already purchased paint products. We will be glad to use those products assuming they are of a certain level of quality. However, we do not guarantee our work if the paint we are using is of a sub-par level because, in addition to sub-par results, it is actually more effort and more challenging to work with a paint of lesser quality.

5.) Is it necessary to take time off from work or can you work alone in my home?

More than 75% of the projects we work on, homeowners are not there between 9am and 5pm and so we are accustomed to working alone in private, residential homes. In the over 10 years that we've been working, we have never had any incident regarding personal possessions in any client's home so you can be assured that your presence at home is not necessary and you can have greater assurance that all personal possessions will remain intact and the house will be cleaned up and tools removed by the time you return home from work.

6.) Do you carry liability insurance?

Yes. We carry a $1 million per incident coverage with a $2 million aggregate. So while it is absolutely imperative to carry liability insurance, we take numerous safety precautions prior to beginning any project.

7.) Do you guarantee your work?

Absolutely! We provide each one of our clients a 1 year guarantee on any of our painting or remodeling projects. If at any time during the 1 year after work is completed you believe there is something that has come up that relates to our efforts, please contact us right away and we will come out and assess the situation. If it is determined that it is our responsibility, then we will correct the issue at hand in a timely manner.

8.) How long have you been in business?

We are currently in our tenth successful year, and we are confident that we can continue with the consistent results we produce in other people's homes that we can duplicate the same for your home project. I am confident you will find us to be conscientious, courteous, and pleasant throughout the course of the project.

9.) Do you provide free estimates?

We do provide free estimates as a courtesy to our prospects and customers. Since we show up and do what we say we will do with our projects and provide consistent satisfactory results, in exchange for the free estimate we ask only that you would be gracious enough, either way, to let us know your decision.

10.) Do you fix walls or prepare very rough walls?

We do all kinds of sheetrock repair, and in addition, we can use plaster or joint compound to re-create a very smooth surface on any of your ceilings or walls throughout your home. We do an extensive amount of this preparatory work, and we are quite confident we can create a beautiful look on any of your wall's.

11.) Can you provide references?

We will be willing to provide for you references that relate to your specific type of project, and that have transpired, most recently. If you were not able to connect with folks provided, then please let us know and we will forward additional names and phone numbers.

12.) During the course of the project is it possible to give feedback if something doesn't look exactly how I want it to?

We encourage you to always feel free to offer feedback to us so that we are meeting your project objectives. All clients have the opportunity to provide feedback with all areas that need touch up 24 hours prior to completion so that we can make the necessary corrections.

13.) What is your track record for safety?

We have an impeccable track record of safety on our projects throughout the years. We take all necessary precautions to ensure equipment is in proper working conditions. Ladders and scaffolding and other equipment are staged properly and our workers are comfortable with any equipment necessary in completing the project.

14.) Are insurance estimates free as well?

In the case of insurance estimates, depending on the situation, we may charge up to $100 per estimate, which can be applied towards the labor charges, if you care to hire us. Unfortunately, we are often asked to provide estimates for a second or third estimate from people because their insurance company requires it. Many of these people have their contractors already selected, and do not intend to use us, therefore, since we value our time, I am confident you can appreciate why we might choose to do this.

15.) Do you create and/or repair textured ceilings?

Non-popcorn, and textured ceilings can be worked but create challenges. If you are looking for us to create a certain textured pattern then that is possible to do with a nice finished result. However, the downside with textured ceilings is if you experience a water leak in the future and the repair is necessary then it makes it hard to replicate or duplicate an exact pattern match. We do often patch or correct textured ceilings, but we cannot guarantee their look to be an exact match upon completion.

16.) Do you work with popcorn ceilings?

We do an extensive amount of work with popcorn ceilings, including removing popcorn to create smooth traditional ceilings; we repair popcorn ceilings as a result of water damage or other, and we also spray or applying new popcorn to ceilings to create a popcorn texture and look. In general, working with popcorn is a messy, laborious process, and therefore the work is conducted at a premium rate.

17.) Do you do wallpaper stripping?

Yes, we do an extensive amount of wallpaper stripping and wall prep, usually in preparation of painting. The process is a tedious one as you may know, if you have ever done it before. We often receive calls from folks who have done a couple of rooms that choose not to do any additional work, because it does require removal of the paper the backing, washing the walls to remove the glue, spakling the walls, sanding, and priming. This process often has to be repeated a minimum of two or three times in order to get a perfect smooth finish. We love to do this work.

18.) Do you hang wallpaper?

We do not hang wallpaper. We may be able to help you out with small repairs, and we do have the capability to assess. However, it is not the work we are looking to promote and we would gladly steer you to the folks that do the work on a regular basis.
